About This

  • Beautiful – Large premium packet of Tendersweet Carrot (Daucus var. 'Tendersweet') seed. Sweet, tender, and flavorful, Tendersweet is a deep orange carrot that grows in an attractive tapered shape. The long roots reach 7-9 inches and have a diameter of 1-2 inches. These carrots have a fine-grained texture and are nearly coreless. Minimum of 800 mg per packet (about 525 seeds).
  • Productive – Tendersweet Carrot germinates in 14-21 days when soil temps are 55-75°F. Plant 1/4” deep and space 1-2” apart in an area with full sun. This variety will grow up to 16-20” tall with a spread of 10-12”. The taproot will mature in 50-60 days, plant in USDA zones 3-12.
  • Versatile – Carrots can bring many joys to your garden! Use the large carrots for cooking, canning, pickling, and more. Don’t forget to use the leafy greens from the carrot plant in your favorite pesto recipes.
  • Easy to Grow -- Instructions included on each packet. Plus, we are available to answer all your questions. If these seeds don’t germinate, we will happily make it right for you.
  • Safe and Sustainable -- Our operation is fully solar powered, and Sow Right Seeds has taken the Safe Seed Pledge to sell only fresh Non-GMO heirloom seeds for you and your family.
