About This

  • Beautiful - Large premium packet of Fordhook Swiss Chard (Beta vulgaris) seeds. This variety has large green and savoyed (crinkled) leaves with white veins and broad, strong stems. Minimum 2 g per packet (about 80 seeds).
  • Productive - Swiss Chard germinates in 7-14 days when soil temps are 65-75°F. Plant 1/2” deep and space 12-18” apart in an area with full sun. This variety will grow 12-24” tall with a spread of 12-18”. Leaves will mature in 50-60 days, plant in USDA zones 3-12.
  • Hardy and Delicious - With a flavor similar to spinach, chard is great eaten raw in a salad or sauteed with butter and garlic. Considered one of the power foods for its dense nutritional value, it is packed with vitamins and minerals. This easy-to-grow variety is more tolerant of both the heat and cold. Very dependable, does well in garden beds or containers. Leaves are best when harvested young
  • Easy to Grow - Instructions included on each packet. Plus, we are available to answer all your questions. If these seeds don’t germinate, we will happily make it right for you.
  • Safe and Sustainable - Our operation is fully solar powered, and Sow Right Seeds has taken the Safe Seed Pledge to sell only fresh Non-GMO heirloom seeds for you and your family.
